Facebook Connectivity, among many things, is Facebook’s initiative to make internet access more available in underserved areas. Their Terragraph project specifically aims to deliver low cost, high-bandwidth internet to urban neighborhoods.

Facebook partnered with Vivint Internet to deploy a test network in Phoenix, AZ with the purpose of testing “never-done-before”, disruptive network models focused around fixed-wireless LTE technology.

In February of 2017, Ultra Networks representatives contracted approximately 200 sites in Phoenix and Tempe to place rooftop LTE radios at. Response by local residents for new, high-speed internet alternatives was overwhelmingly positive.
